Today, I proudly announce my support and endorsement of Mr. Sefie M. Anaya for Socorro City Council Ward 4. Sefie Anaya has served our community selflessly for many years, as former chair of the Democratic Party of Socorro County, and in volunteer capacities. I believe he will be an effective leader for positive change in our community.
The recent harassment allegations in Doña Ana County require us all to reiterate…sexual harassment in any form and from any source is unacceptable and must be condemned. In Congress, I will work to strengthen sexual predator and sexual harassment laws.

It’s not enough to weep or to pray after today’s horrifying news from Florida. We need to have real, bi-partisan discussions in order to find a solution to this appalling epidemic of violence our children are experiencing. For the sake of our children and our shared humanity, the time to talk is now.

Mad is running for Congress for two reasons. First, because she loves our country and believes that she has the intellect, drive and compassion to represent everyday working families who are being left behind. The second reason she’s running for Congress is because Washington D.C. – and our political system as a whole – is broken. She wants to change that, with our help.
Like most New Mexicans, Mad has a deep faith in our collective ability to overcome life’s obstacles and make New Mexico a better place to live.

New Mexico families should not have to make a choice between groceries for their families and quality health care. This incident is a heartbreaking reminder of how broken our health care system is and how the insider interests of insurance companies and pharmaceutical conglomerates take priority over the needs of working New Mexico families. In Congress, I will work so New Mexico families come before big business and Wall Street profits. #medicare4all #mad4nm
Thanks to the people of South New Mexico, I turned in more than double the amount of signatures necessary to get on the ballot. This grassroots movement belongs to YOU!
