My heart aches as we contemplate yet another mass shooting on American soil. An angry man, dishonorably discharged from the Air Force, attacked innocent parishioners of First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas. We don’t yet know his motivation, but we do know there is never an excuse for killing and injuring so many, and targeting even the very young. It is an horrific, and unforgivable act. In this country, we must have a discussion about how we can move forward, and recover from these actions. We must find remedies to help halt these attacks. And, we can broaden the discussion to include mental health programs, and Veteran’s outreach. I will not mention the attacker’s name. He does not deserve recognition, even posthumously. But, I pray for the victims and their families.
(I took the attached photo this AM on the way to an event. I almost deleted it because of the “moon” anomaly – it’s not the moon. Now, I’m glad I kept it, and dedicate it to the poor souls now at rest)
