Since Trump’s election this country seems to be coming unhinged. While racism has never been too far from the surface MOST people at least tried to hide those feelings. Today, people I would not have suspected of racist tendencies have acted out on those behaviors. I am shocked. I am horrified. And I am saddened. I hope that we can put right what is coming apart.

Today’s far right patriot movement seems to cross over into the far left anarchists. Together, they are a growing danger our govt is ignoring. How soon will the next “event” happen? These groups, and their danger, should be a priority – for the safety of our citizens, our police, and our nation.

We need an Independent Commission not a special prosecutor. A prosecutor chases legal infractions, moves slowly, and can go off in strange and unrelated directions, ultimately getting nowhere, or getting the little guy. An Independent Commission can go after the full spectrum of “what happened,” how, and why. Remember, impeachment is not necessarily about a president who broke laws, but one who acted against his nation and its people.

I would like to see investment in infrastructure, but Trump’s plan includes privatization. THAT I’m against, because with privatization we lose oversight and we invite greed and corruption.

It’s not fair that older generations left us with their mess, it’s less fair that we leave it to collapse and kill people. The industries that create problems should figure out a way to fix their mess, then unite with govt to clean up problems left by previous generations.

Harry Truman aide Richard E. Neustadt (Professor-Columbia) said “nobody is expert but the President; if he, too, acts as a layman, it goes hard with him.” Fit anyone we know?
