I’m on my way to Roswell, and decided to make a pit stop here at Valley of the Fires to get some quick pictures to share. If you haven’t visited, or if it’s been a long time, you should check it out and maybe camp. It’s located in Lincoln County, NM, and is a beautiful deep black ancient lava flow. There is a trail, accessible for wheel chairs so you can get right in and see the natural beauty. There are multiple campsites, two of which are accessible.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Republicans callously attacked this AM. It is sad that our country has reached a moment of such great divide. The beauty of a democracy is that change can (and must) be enacted through the voting booth. I grieve that people have such great fear of a dysfunctional system that they feel their only recourse is through violence.
The really, really “silly” thing about Republican Senators hiding their Trumpcare bill is that they are still going to take heat for it if they successfully ram it down our throats. They can’t un-own it after it’s made public. The point of airing it publicly first is to get input from the other side, and from the people, so they don’t create a fiasco. THEIR fiasco is going to kill people, and contribute to them (Republicans) losing the House in 2018.

Senator Heinrich outfoxes the fox during his questioning of AG Sessions. And what is this “I’m protecting the President’s rights” just in case, after the fact, he might want to decide to invoke privilege over some question he might possibly, maybe, perhaps choose to retroactively wish to have privilege over. But, that’s not how it works. The AG doesn’t get to do that. Only the President can… and didn’t. So… bucket number 3… obstruction it is.

30-40 Christians have been picked up by ICE to be deported to Iraq! These are an ancient ethnic minority, Chaldeans, and will be slaughtered as they arrive in Baghdad. They are members of an eastern branch of Catholicism. Shame on Donald Trump, and his overzealous deportation program!
Sadly, and foolishly, these people voted for Trump thinking he would protect them from ISIS using those immigration rules.
