Border wall talks have met an impasse as Dems and Reps disagree on key issues. The primary disagreement, according to anonymous government sources, is access to detention beds by ICE. Democrats see limiting the number of available beds as a way to curtail ICE activities. As for border wall moneys, that number is set somewhere between 1.5 and 2 billion – far less than the president’s 5.6 billion dollar request.
Because of the impasse on beds, however, Friday’s government shutdown seems increasingly likely. How are you affected by a shutdown? Please comment and share.
