On the road to Grants, NM (between Belen & Laguna) this is one of my favorite views. Wide own space, reminding me of my childhood. I just need to hear a meadowlark for it to be perfect.
Thanks to Otero County Dems, and Chair Nadia Sikes for an amazing meeting earlier this week. I am always happy to be in Alamogordo and will return soon.
Donald Trump’s “MAGA” is taking us straight back to the post-war decades when children were taught to duck-and- cover, and people dug bomb shelters in their backyards. I say enough is enough! Take a stand against this kind of government-sponsored terror and vote BLUE in the midterms. But, before that, demand that your legislators hold Trump accountable, and check his power! And please, donate or volunteer with my campaign. Go to www.mad4nm.com or email contact@mad4nm.com
School during the Victorian Era. Is this what we want to go back to via “MAGA”? I think NOT!

The Tularosa Basin is the source of the white sands of, you guessed it, White Sands. The white layer in this photo, between the foreground and the distant mountains is the monument in the making. Gypsum is worn from the mountains and crystallized when the rains dry up. Those light crystals blow into the air, making that white dust layer in the photo, then later settle as the sands.
The campaign trail in southern New Mexico is long, but no one can say it isn’t beautiful. My trip to Alamogordo takes me through the Valley of Fires, an ancient lava flow. What seems like it should be barren is teeming with life.
Just East of San Antonio, NM in the the great 2nd district, there once was a coal field. In the mid 1800s, soldiers used to come and mine for their winter fuel, hauling loads back to Fort Craig. This location is on my drive from Socorro to Alamogordo.
